My intake came in on Monday but I wasn't at work that day so I got it yesterday. Installed it last night. Still waiting on the ECU to adapt to the increased airflow. So far, I like it. Hopefully I get the same growl as my parents' X3. (I installed an aFe intake on their X3 a few months back when they bought it) The X3 @ WOT sounds like a beast.

Soo my intake finally arrived yesterday and was waiting at the front door when I got home from school. Called up a good friend of mine, and went to his house to do the install. It took us about an hour, more or less, little longer because of slight problems...the clips on the old airbox wouldn't come out easily and then wouldn't clip back onto the new aFe box..that's what took the additional time. Install was relatively simple though, I was planning on using the directions posted on this forum (main page) but the documentation that came along with the intake was pretty detailed.

Anyways, now to the main part. We went for a spin around the neighborhood and wow...noticed an instant difference in acceleration..like others have said, its much smoother now. Also, the sound is great, deeper and throatier at WOT. I love to drive using the manual mode just to hear that sound This is supposed to give you better mileage, but using tiptronic mode all the time, is probably not gonna help me too much haha.

All in all, i'm happy with the mod
