Rear/Brake Light Help (again)...

I've been getting the rear and brake light warnings for a few weeks. I know the bulb isn't burnt out...that it is the prongs in the green housing piece. I tried to adjust the prongs, but it didn't work.

Any ideas? Do you think replacing that green housing piece will work? I really don't want to pay the dealer to fix it.

Pull the bulb and housing and file the connections. The corrosion that builds up will give you hell. But obviously check to make sure the bulbs are in fact not blown. If not, then file it. or sand it..

I put WD40 around the white housing (the metal parts) and it works.

I had the same problem, I fixed it yesterday.

When I put it back in it didnt work at first then I hit the brake light several times and now it is working.

Thanks.

BTW...I did buy new bulbs and changed them...just incase...so that's not the problem.
