Why did BMW make the horn not work when the key is removed?

yes, as someone said, roll down one of the windows all the way, lock the car, and after 30 sec reach in an open the door. The alarm should sound.
The only way to remotely activate the alarm is by using the trunk button, I think.

Trunk worked for me, iv always wondered if there was a panic button.
