2 new mods : lowered + new floormats

Hi,
I lowered my car last week with Eibach springs in front, and via DIS in the rear. I also bought some nice BMW floormats, which once were part of the individual maritime edition. Car sits appr 0.8 inch lower now and still drives very smooth !

Love the aluminum trim. Goes well with the running boards and keeps it very young and sporty looking. Nice looking ride.

Looks good.

Nice car. How was your ride affected by lowering?

permanently, since I only have the rear adjustable suspension. I wanted the car only lowered by a very small margin, since it needs to stay an SUV

Well, I previously stated this here before, I shortened my bumpstops by appr 2 cm (0.7 inch ?). This makes sure that my shocks (which are the oem sport shocks btw) still 'travel' the same distance as before the lowering was carried out. Hence, I hardly feel any difference in comfort. Ofcourse, I can feel the 'pushing' back of the shorter springs more clearly (more pronounced), so its a little bit more bumpy, but VERY minimal. Friends of mine don't even feel the difference, so I judge from their opinion that in terms of comfort, this is a great mod !

Eibach springs are btw known for their excellent ride quality. For 160 euros, this was a no brainer !

Thanks for all the good comments !
Hans

Nice floor mats. I've been thinking about getting a set of those. How would you say they compare with the regular BMW velour floor mats (are they softer? or anything else special about them?) And do you have a photo of the driver's side?
