Dealer WORTHY of Praise!

Well, I don't know if it's the dealer or just with my service advisor. After months and months of reading and researching which is a good dealer here in So Cal, i finally read somewhere here that Crevier in Santa Ana gives good discounts on parts so I thought i'd give service a try.

My brakes were squeaking loudly from Oct to November so I finally got tired of everyone staring at me so I took it to Crevier to have it checked even if the place i got the X5 replaced pads and what not and the dash wasn't lit up. They told me the place i got the X5 from didn't use OEM BMW parts that's what caused the squeaking since it was cheap pads.

That was last December and John Thatcher (SA) checked my info on the car and he said that my warranty ends this April 22 so he said, call me on March and make an appointment and let me have some work done before it expires.

I was just there this past saturday and he replaced drive belt tensioner/deflection pulleys, performed cooling system flush, replaced thermostat with housing, had entire car checked for leaks and I got a carwash. And my grand total was $0.

Howcome other dealers can't be like this one?

Great to hear! They always treated me well when I lived there. The next time you go in, say hello to Joe Hernandez (Parts Manager). He sponsored our last meet in Palm Springs

Thats great. I have a service advisor who is similar, and does a great job at fixing any problems I have. The service dept is the complete opposite of the sales dept. I get great service and prices at the service dept, and at the sales, they are trying to rip me off. Dont get it. Vent over.

I jealous I live in Northern California and would settle for a dealership I could trust to repair the X when it needs attention. We use to have good dealerships here but autowest is buying them all up.

I quess some of the dealers don't honor the old fashioned dealer reputation and long time customer relationship.
I rather pay a dollar more and drive a mile further to get good service.
