Sport Seats or Comfort Seats

Wich do you prefer if the money or wait didn't matter? And why?

members with sport seats have complained about them not being comfortable.

I have comfort seats, but I rather have sport seats. Simply for the looks.

I absolutely loved the sport seats out of my old E46 328i. I now have the comfort seats in my current '06 4.8is and they are okay. I'm mixed on this. While I like the look and fitment of the sport seats in the 328i, the X5 is harder to get into and out of due to the side bolsters. I'm thinking that if I HAD the sport seats in the X, that it would be a pain in the ass when getting into and out of it due to the higher bolster area. Literally

i have the sport. i have tried the comforts, even though articulation back and power headrest are cool, there's not that much support for the sides. i do like the funny shape of the headrest though. plus having sport, it feels really good when you have nice thick heated bolsters .

as for the 20-way (5-series), although having to adjust my own side bolster gets infuriating when i try to make it conform to me and not for me to confrom to it...just spoiling...

a sporty car needs sporty seats

Love the sport seats! Great support and quite comfortable, even on longer trips.

I love the E70 Comfort seats. They are much better than the E53 comfort seats, and if you are making your decision based on the last generation X5 you should try the new ones.

My favorite features are articulating upper back section and adjustable side bolsters.

I have sport seats in my 2001 and comfort seats in my 2006 - I really dislike the headrests in the 2006 comfort seats - the whole top part of the seat adjusts rather than just the headrest and the added lower cushion lip on the headrest hits my shoulders (at full extension) - for myself, the sport seat in the 2001 allows me to suport my head better than the 2006 comfort seat - but both seats on 2000+ mile trips felt very comfortable.

I LOVE the Sport Seats in my 2001. Wouldn't trade them for the world!
