Alpine Headrest screens mounted ...
The dvd player, an Alpine DVE-5207, was mounted in the left cargo compartment above the NAV DVD. I purchased a BMW mounting 'device' uqual to the one used for the OEM NAV DVD reader. Fits perfectly ! Overall, I am quite happy with the end result. |

Price for the screen : 449 euro per piece, dvd player was also 449 euro.
Then you need mounting brackets (29 euro a piece), longer cables since I wanted the black boxes in the trunk (79 euro a piece), a video splitter (59 euro for the one from alpine). I did the installation myself

the only thing mate - the DVD mounted in the left cargo compartment above the NAV DVD...mine also there...and I feel it very, very unconfortable...everytime you want to change the disc, need to stop the car...thinking of to change the place...somewhere in front armrest compartment...will see! BTW - MONITORS frame are perfeclty suit your grafit trim...

Looks great I have my DVD mounted in the same place and I agree that its a pain to change the discs. I also have a DVD in my headunit but that player only plays on the front screen and not the rear headrests. I was thinking about moving the rear DVD player to under the front or in between the rear seats...or the other alternative is to replace the single DVD with a 6 disc changer so you don't have to stop the car every time you want to change DVDs
