Car does not fill up all the way automatically: Gas
I go to fill up my gas tank and it always stops below the full mark by a good 1-2mm.
Is this a problem with something in my car or the gas station pump? I have used the same gas station for years and have never had this problem. This has happened three times now on different pumps with this gas station. So what is probably broken in my car? How much to fix? Thanks |

that depends...how much gas are you purchasing? when almost completely empty, i can fill about 25.5 gals...and when mine is full, the needle goes past the 1/1. is your car in the accessory mode? when i leave it in the accessory mode while filling up, starting the car, the needle only goes to 7/8s. but restarting the car will correctly display the proper amount

Nothing is broken on your car.
Some pump designs have oditities for certain vehicles. This has been mentioned on the board before (use the search engine). I had a 300ZX that couldn't fill up at certain Texaco stations unless I pulled up on the nozzle slightly.
