Who would have thought...

I took my 4.8 into service four days ago for several minor and usual X5 defaults...and even though I am driving around in the family's 4.4, I miss my 4.8 soooo dam much....I can't believe the complete difference between the two cars...I mean on paper there really isn't that much but when it comes down to driving and pure enjoyment...I can't help but feel the difference. Can't wait to get my car back tomorrow. By the way, I just ordered my BMW portable cooler...anyone have any experience with them? i heard they work pretty well...and better then most of the other ones out there? But it's pretty pricey...comments?

You're spoiled. There is also something about driving the Ultimate X5. I saw a TiAg 4.8is the other day and while the aesthetic mods are relatively minor, they sure make the 4.8 stand out. It was gorgeous.

I moved from 4.4 to 4.8 and enjoy driving the 4.8 more than 4.4.

I just did the same thing. I first brought my wifes 4.4i sport in for service and when it was done, dropped off the 4.8 for some minor issues. I drove the 4.4 a few times and remembered what a great SAV the 4.4 was. But could not help realize how much better the 4.8 is. Picked up the 4.8 on Friday and have enjoyed being "back in the saddle" of the 4.8is.
