I came so close to being an X5 owner

Some of you may remember the thread I posted a few months ago about finding an Estoril 4.8is. I was not in the position to buy one at the time, but I kept my eyes open and searched around.

I found the needle in a haystack this past weekend, an 04 Estoril CPO with 30k miles. One owner SoCal car that was fully loaded with navi, pano roof, comfort seats, cold weather pkg, and load tray floor. Even had creme interior which I had not seen before. This was the one I had been looking for except BETTER!

Only thing between me and it was about 3000 miles. I am in Florida and the X was in California @ Crevier BMW. My two friends went and inspected it for me to see if it was worth flying out for. They said it was MINT so I gathered the funds and set up insurance. All the while I had been in contact with the internet sales manager and he was fully aware I wasnt a tire kicker.

I call today as I was booking my flight online to let him know I would be there tomorrow only to be told "sorry, we sold it last night. Its gone."

I can only hope I find another low mi Estoril someday.
