Auxilliary Venting/Heating

I have read the manual, but what does it actually do? Does anyone use it regularly? Is the venting/heating significant?

I had it in my X and never really used it. I used it sometimes if I knew the car would be really hot, or if the car smelled and I didnt want the smell to sink in, like if I had picked up take-out. I never used it regularly because I found it to be a pain to set. If they had a setting where it would vent automatically at a certain time every day it would be more practical, because you could set it to cool down the car like 10 minutes before you come out of work/school, etc.

It does vent automatically, does it not??...it is used to air out the car in hot times. I use it all the time on the weekends...brings the inside temperature down by turning on the cars ventiliation.

I use it just about every weekday during the summer months here in DC. If you use it regularly, the time stays set for the next use (mine is for 5:00 PM). So, it literally takes me about 4 quick selections on my Business CD/MID and I'm out the door in the morning.

I sometimes use the quick 20 minute venting option when I'm out running errands. I hate when the interior is nice and cool and you park to run into a store for 10 or 15 minutes and the car gets hot again. Hit a few buttons and the vents will evacuate the hot air.

I never completely understood that. If you set a particular time, after it turns on, how long does stay on for?

I think it stays on for 20 minutes only. The manual even warns you to not use it too long or too often between driving because it is a drain on the battery.

Sorry, but how does it works?
Does it use the gasoline of the motor or the battery?
Does it turn on only by the programming time or also in summer or winter when you turn the temperature all in minimun or maximum temp it automatically help the air conditioning sistem?

Runs off the battery only - it just operates the vent fans and circulates air around the cabin - no temp control - so no, it doesn't heat the vehicle in the winter, but the circulating air in the hot summer certainly helps cool things down a bit. It's important to keep your dash vents open when you set it - that's where the air comes out...
