How does the tint hold up in the weather?
I wanted to get the film but my tint man said it will just come off in a couple of months.

One of the techs that i worked with got the taillights on his E30 tinted at the body shop. I guess they sprayed a mix of clear with black in it until they looked right, or so i remember. They looked great and have held up fine for years. Just another option...

My son did that with his 525i that he inherited from me. He painted over the clears I had put on the car and did a pretty crappy job of it. From about 2 ft away, you can see all the bubbles in the paint. Nice job, son.

My experience is that smoked or tinted tail lights = more rear-end collisions

Go for it. Here's a pic of Izzy's X5 after the custom tint.

I'm sure this is true during the day.
But at night, my tinted aftermarket lights are much brighter than my oem non-tinted lights were.

Just seems that the aftermarket lights have a much bigger bulb.
