Whistle E53 X5 with one of the lowest rate of driver death!!

Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (famous for showing in Dateline back in 12/2000 that the E53 X5 was the safest car ever tested in their history) just released data for the vehicles with the lowest rate of driver death and also cars/suv with the highest rate of driver death.

They looked at 2001-2004 model year car driven during the calendar year 2002-2005.

The E53 X5 and BMW 7-series were listed as fewer than 20 driver deaths per million registered vehicle years.

My X5 is a very safe vehicle. It's death rate is zero.

highlander beat the X5?
I swear that thing does not seem safer than the X5. X5 is heavy whereas the Highland is light.

I slam my door in the highlander and it barely takes an effort whereas the X5 door is heavy.
