I have this same problem, and the dealer told me I had to replace the entire rear unit for $320. My car is still under it's original warranty, but I am not the original owner. I thought this would still be covered... Does the warranty change once the car is sold?

Should be covered. I would talk to the service manager.

The ductwork to the rear vent is a flimsy piece. Try lifting out the armrest bin to expose the duct. Look to make sure that the duct is connected to the vent. Good luck

there is two types of warranties,
1. original car warranty
2. maintainance warranty.

1. and 2. carry over to 2nd owner. however, if the 2nd owner wishes to extend the warranties, he can only extend 1.

in other words, the maintainance warranty can only be extended by the original owner.

anyone can correct me if im wrong.

take care,
mustafa
