X5 service manual

has anyone had any luck finding a service manual. A haynes manual for example? I want a diagram of the belts and what pumps they control.

my truck is an 4.4 2002 e53 and i think my power stearing pump is shot. it sounds aweful. I think i've narrowed the noise down to the lowest drivers side pump, which is connected to a reservor that holds ATF. its not an external pump for the tranny or x-fer case, is it? it is the power stearing right?

a service manual would do me good.

Do you have fluid in the resevoir? Have you changed it? If it is making alot of noise, then it maybe the pump. My wife's e46 325 went out and it wasn't too hard to change.

The drive belts connect to the water pump, alternator, and power steering pump. The AC belt connects to the compressor.

There is fluid in the resevoir. Its red ATF fluid. I haven't changed it. I think it may be a bad pully or the pump. Its def from drivers side. The engine runs and yesterday when i ran it i think what happened is one of the pullys/pumps locked up for a quick second, then there was too much resistance on the crank and the Engine came to a HALT!

Today it seems that the pump/pully is not in a binding mood, so i might run it slowly to shop, but i'm intrested in taking off the belt and seeing if its the pully or if its a pump.

I just purchased the cd from ebay. this will be the second one I purchased. The 1st one had a bad file on it and looked shady (if you know what I mean)
As soon as I get it I will post up the quality and clarity of the info.

Thumbs up

bought a 6 disc package on ebay. looks like OEM (overlay and all). TIS is great, have posted a number of info's from it on this forum. Payed 15 bucks or so. well worth it. Look for the ones who have pictures of the discs.
