If you want to prove them wrong, print out the pages from the link I gave you and take it in and show them. That's simple too.

I think you can learn alot from a site like this and doing your independent research. When I purchased my car last year, the salesperson had no idea what she was talking about. I knew the car much more than she did. I also asked them about the aerodynamic kit, and they had no clue.
It's an aftermarket product. If you go talk to the parts department or their body shop, they will know more about it than the salesperson. |

AutoXer, isn`t it sad when you go to a stealership, and you know more about the product they are selling than the stealers do? This has happened each and everytime I have ordered one (x 5). Now what will happen when the new expanded BMW range hits the stealership floors......................................um, yes, well, I think......aka "stealertalk!" .....this is what we shall be hearing.
Cheers,

I remember you asking about the aero kit when you were placing the order. I think you have 2 options: 1) refuse taking the X and have the dealer order a new one with the aero pkg, or 2) have the dealer get the aero pkg and have them put it on.
Personally, I'd go with option #1. However, if they push you towards option #2, then you need to find out who does the work. Like a lot of dealers, they sub-contract/refer painting and body work to another local company. If this is the case, make your stealer give you an aero pkg, find out from your dealer who they use and go directly to them to get a better price for painting/install. Hopefully it'll be just one place that does both and not 2 separate places like my dealer uses. |
