I don't care how many HP are in their 9 liter V20, a porsche will A. Last longer, B. Keep me alive (or more likely to) when I'm an idiot and do that on a highway here when its raining and C. handle a hell of a lot better.

The Edge commercial was directed by David Mamet who also directed Glengary Glen Ross, The Spanish Prisoner, Untouchables, and Hoffa. Obviously his career is going nowhere.

I could also add nitrous to a Ford Pinto and get it to go faster than an X5 3.0 (just before it self-destructed)...so what?

I gauge the "desperation" of a car company by ads that selectively compare a single performance measure of their car with a single measure of another (or worse....when they compare to the 0-60 of one, the braking distance of another and the slalom speed of a third...because it couldn't beat any one of them in all three!!).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't I hear the same claim in a commercial for a POS Pontiac coupe? They are not even comparing apples to apples.
