Rear hatch maximum load
What is the maximum load you can place on the rear hatch of an X5 when it is opened. For example is it safe to sit upon (like in a range rover - I assume not) or is it rated to a specific load in KG? This is based upon a car without the extending load floor Many thanks |

Hi, I weigh about 80kg and I sit on mine all the time when we go diving as do my mates. We usually rest the fully loaded cooler on there as well. So as long as you not too heavy it should be OK.

Depends on the year of your X5 (later models had increased load capacities). The owners manual lists the capacity of your particular model.
