Question: What will the BMW's audio system display when playing a song?
Answer: Just like a CD Changer, the BMW audio system's interface will display the track number. It will not display the name of the artist, song title, or album title of the song that is currently playing http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93879

you plug the DICE into the CD-changer connector in the trunk area in the little bin on the left side of the car. This means you cannot have a CD-changer for this setup to work. There should be two connectors there. If you have never had a CD-changer in your car, then those two connectors are bounded on the bottom of the bin. The wire provided is 12 feet long. From there you can place the system anywhere in your car. The iPod connector wire is only 6 feet.
When you have it connected, it's operable from the radio head. press [mode] to switch from AM/FM, in-dash CD (or cassette), and "CD-changer". I say "CD-changer" because the DICE tricks the car into thinking it's a CD-changer; an emulator in other words
