Rattling noise in the back/cargo area

gotchya... mine is rattly too. Was yours noisy in the retracted or pulled-out postiion?

It was rattling on the right side, in both the retracted and extended positions.

thank you very much!! I was looking underneath the cargo floor, no wonder I couldn't find anything there.......

In the meantime I found out, the noise is coming from inside the right back door, I will take it apart later and take a look there.

I'm beginning to think mine is coming from inside the carpeted rear tire cover. The rattle is gone if I'm carrying groceries or some other weighted packages. If I lift the cover and tap it, there is something inside. So what did the engineering geniuses put in side of this to justify their $55,000 price tag?
