I do not think that the E39 M5 mirrors look good, they seem too small and too round. The X5 has squarier lines and should have matching mirrors. The current ones are just way too big. 545i ones would look nice I bet.

every BMW mirror is smaller than the X's. X3/5 mirrors and mounts are much larger. It's not even close

I posted about this a few times. The mirrors on the V12 X5 can be purchased from a certain company, cant remember the name just yet. Anyway They require you to send your original mirrors to which they mold the M5 mirror to the original base and then send back. The whole deal costs from memory well over $1000. The auto fold will not work for those who have it, but the rest of the electrics did.

yeep it's Konigseider or however u spell their name... their mirrors are basically the e39 m5 mirrors retrofitted on the X. But they require u to send your stock mirrors in. I got a quote from them, and with all the labor, mirrors, and shipment back and forth the total cost of the mod came somewhere around 2-4k which i deff was not tryin to spend on mirrors also consider ur x5 being mirror"less" for about 3-4weeks

The quote I got from them was around $1000/$1500US. I'll see if I can dig the quote out to be exact. I also think it was G-Power that done the M5 mirror mod. http://www.g-power.de

i would be willing to purchase this mod if 1)the price was anywhere from 500-900MAX... and also if i would not have to send out my mirrors and that all the connectors would be plug n play( i dont need the mirrors to fold) as long as the mirror moves

We would also have to paint them suckers.. so lets hope the price is somwehre in that range
