Rear Hatch Latch Retro Kit?

I noticed on the 2005 X5's that the rear hatch automatically latches itself once it is closed (just like a trunk on a high end Cadillac) In other words, you no longer have to slam the rear hatch closed to get it shut! Is it possible to order parts for a 2005 and put it in a 2003? Has anyone done this? Am I the only one that noticed this?

Not possible to retrofit. I looked into it already. The wiring harness if different and so is the 'General' module. I even considered changing the general module, but there are many differences between the old and new modules besides the trunk motor signal. The pin outs are different so you can not simply unplug one and plug in the new module with reprogramming several other features of the vehicle. It was simply too much trouble for the hassle.
