Is this a good buy?

Hey guys, and Gals, I was looking at this because I need the 20 pin adapter to work on my early production 01 X5. Anyone ever heard of this one?

And is the early 01 the 20 pin round or the 16 pin round?

OK, seems like a fair price. If I was to get one I'd get one made specific for BMW's www.peakeresearch.com

Hi John,
I do not have a Peake tool for my existing cars but I have used Peake on previous BMW's and was very pleased with their performance. Call Peake for the correct tool for your car, they are very helpful.
By the way, what do you need one for? There is a way to reset the maintenance lights without a tool.
Tom

Hi John, You would do better to consult the threads of X5World to anticipate your next failure. Among the top few: final stage resistor, window regulators, water pump, CV boots. Of the hundreds of thousands of BMW miles I have driven, I've only had to have a tow once; my 535i the cam position sensor became loose. Tom
