You may have to recline the seat first to be able to lift it all of the way out without hitting the roof!

Push in the tab, and lift straight up, firmly.
On my '01, the tab is located at base of left/door side
of metal post on driver's side and on the left post of
pass. side. Easy to get to from back seat angle.

angle of the seat was helpfull 100%..I did shipskin in the front seats...after all it's summer time ...................low 50es coast line brr!
