PDC retrofit help

[Long Island NY X5]

Hi I'm new to X5world. Had a 01 3.0 X5 for 3 years. My husband just bought me an 06 3.0. It's loaded but the one thing it doesn't have is PDC.
We would like to add it, but all local dealerships are clueless, or they tell us it can't be done. Does anyone have part # for the PDC kit? I have read it here that it can be done just as if it was installed by factory.

The OEM PDC kit retrofit installation does get somewhat involved. Have you looked at the PDC retrofit installation guide (item #12 under the Body, Wheels & Styling section) on the home page yet? If you're not doing it yourself, the labor charges can get expensive really quick. You can ask Morristown BMW under the "Accessories Forum sponsored by Morrististown BMW" for part number and price quote of the retrofit kit.

As an cheaper alternative, you can try installing the Licence Plate PDC as I did (items #13 & #14 under the Body, Wheels & Styling section). But this only provide sensors for the rear.

Thanks......We did see item #12 on the home page. There is no part # and cant find the kit. All local dealerships cant find part # or say it is not available for my X. We left an e-mail request for Morristown.
License plate wont work because I need front and back.
