How do I change fuel filter?

In a 2001 3.0?

I have the filter, but I have no idea how to install it.

Any instructions or pictures online?

Thanks in advance

Do a quick search. Somebody post a DIY last year if memory serves.

Very carefully

Just kidding. It's under the left rear passenger seat. To get to it you need to drop the belly pan. There are about 15 screws holding it on. After you get the belly pan down the filter/fuel pressure regulator are easily seen.

It sounds a lot worse than it is. Take your time, wear glasses. A lot of road gravel gets trapped up in the belly pan and it will wind up in your eyes when you drop it.

I didn't pull the fuse. The safest thing to do is to pull the ground cable off the battery; but, I didn't do that either. I don't think the pump has power unless the key is in the #2 position.

You'll only get a few drops. The pump in the tank does not let the fuel siphon out. Just make sure when your dropping the belly pan wear glasses. All the road gravel in the belly pan will wind up in your eyes if you don't. Ask me how I know.
