headlight help

i have a 04 x5 with xenon headlights it does not have the adaptive feature. i need to replace my passenger side headlight and was wondering if these headlights will work. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-...23436198QQrdZ1

the auction states that it does not include the xenon ballast and bulb, the question i have is can i use my existing xenon bulb and ballast because they work fine, i just need a new headlight because on the turn signal indicator one of the clip is broken.

The tabs are part of the headlight housing and they are broken off. Even if they do sell new tabs, how would you secure the tabs to the housing? Crazy glue? Will that hold? It's like taking a pencil and snap it in two...sure you got the 2 pieces, but how can you make it whole again?

Take a look at your left headlight housing. There are 2 bolts securing the top part of the light housing to the car. Imagine if those 2 plastic tabs where the bolts go through are broken off, how would you secure the top of the light assembly to the car? How would you attach the new tabs (if they sell them) to the light housing to replace the broken tabs?

these tabs numbered as 13 thay are the parts attached to the x's frame, plastic tabs on the headlight are the one part of the light assembly, unfortunatly for as (users, drivers X loversetc.) they are disigned that way by BMW so if u are involved in any accident and tha light assembly is tempered tabs braking off so the whole thing dosen't crack, but then u screwed any way because u can't replace the tabs, unless u are so handy and u can addopt or invent something... goood luck, but I wouln'd buy that one anyway, they are so cheap on ebay, fork out couple xtra $ and u will get with the tabs...
