Opening Post-10/02 Headlights

What's up guys? I know this question has been beaten to death, but I really need to know if anybody here has successfully been able to open up some Post-10/02 headlights for a Pre-Facelift X5? If you have, please post up exactly how you did it. Did you DIY it or did you pay someone to crack em open for you? I keep hearing about some special spray, but nobody knows exactly what that spray is. If any of you guys that have been able to crack open the lights are located in Southern California, that would be even better.

***Semi Off-Topic***

I had some older amber corner headlights that I upgraded from with a production date prior to 10/02 and I was unable to open em. What gives?

I already knew about Hella changing the seal as of 10/02. I'm pretty sure that opening up Post-10/02 headlights is not impossible. It's just damn hard.

Has anyone out there resorted to cutting the headlight to separate the outer lense from the body? I have a feeling I might resort to doing that if I can't crack open my lights or if I can't find someone local that might be willing to trade.

Well if I'm unable to open these headlights, is there anyone in the So-Cal area with Pre-10/02 Sport Package Xenon Headlights that are not planning on modding them interested in swapping for my Post-10/02 Sport Package Xenon Headlights? I purchased my lights BRAND NEW back in March of this year.

Me too, I tried to installed angel eyes last week on the post 10/02 headlights. The glue didn't melt a bit when I baked it. I am still waiting for some answer on this one too. That would be great to know that somebody wa successfully opened it. TOOHOTDOC is the only one that has access to this information. Please help.
