Illuminating lights for door handles

I have only 2 of the 4 interior door handle red lights burning. Does anyone know how hard it would be to replace these? Does the door panel have to come off?

Yes you have to remove the door panel, but it's easy to do. I found step by step instructions on the forums.

If you decide to do it, just take your time and make sure you slowly remove the panel checking for the many wires that have to be disconnected in the process.

Removing the rear door panels can be tricky if you have the Rear Climate Package because of the pull-up sunshades.

Yes I do have the rear shades. What kind of difficulties does this cause?

From what I read, you will have to remove the clips in the door panel (that hold the sunshade) prior to removing the shades. Then the door panels can come off.
Send UCrewX5 an PM as, I think, he had removed his once or twice before.

They might just be out of the housing they clip into. When you remove the door panel look to see if there are wires connected to the handle. If not, turn on the lights and you should find it floating around in there.

You only need to remove the small sunshade that covers the small window and to be honest it was the most difficult and frustrating part of removing the door panel. In fact, I wasn't able to do it at all and after fighting with it, I finally gave up and enlisted the help of one of the techs at a local dealership to show me what I was doing wrong.

Pull the top of the shade away while pressing down and you should be home free.

These come standard with the Rear Climate Package. You can't get them separately.
You can get the same shade for the rear window and rear glass in the cargo area.
