Driver's door controls non functional

Hey all... I was wondering if anyone could maybe help me out with an issue I have been having with my 2001 X5 3.0 for over a week now...

The problem is that all of the controls and basically any power going to my driver's door just isn't working. I can't open any windows from the driver's door controls, I can't adjust the rear view mirrors and I can't use the safety lock feature either. The driver's door also does not lock or unlock with the key. All other doors still unlock on the second button press of the unlock button on the key but the driver's door does not lock or unlock. I have to manually do it by putting the key in and turning. Also, the security system does not arm normally, however, if each of the doors is opened and then closed and then I press the lock button on the key, then the car beeps to let me know that the security system is armed, otherwise it just locks all doors other than the driver's door.

I did not think it was a blown fuse because everything kind of slowly died rather than just losing functionality suddenly. I noticed the window slowing down, then it slowed down more, and then when I noticed that it was slowing down A LOT, I immediately tried to get it closed so I wasnt stuck with an open window. Luckily I got the window closed BARELY but now I'm stuck without all functionality of the door controls. I have looked at the fuse box in the back of the car but I don't see any fuse that relates to any sort of door controls or window/lock functionality. Is there a secondary fuse box somewhere on the car? I have searched a bit and was unsuccessful in locating one. And also I did not want to pull every single fuse in the back just to check them because I didn't want to end up disabling something like my cd player/radio and navigation system to some security feature.

It is quite annoying having to drive past parking attendants or card scanners and then opening the door just to have to talk to someone or scan whatever I need to in order to go on. And to be quite honest, it is embarassing and rude as well as annoying not being able to roll the window down when someone is trying to talk to you. Has anyone experienced this or know of anyone else that has?? Can anyone help me out, or will I have to take it to the bmw shop and pay them to fix it? It would be a shame if it were something simple and I ended up paying to get it fixed.

I really would appreciate any and all input I may get from you all. Thanks in advance for anything you may offer...
