hose help....
Haven't posted in a while. So, I was told by the dealer that I have two hoses over the crank that are ready to collapse...$450 to replace, they said it's pretty far in and that's the reason for the cost. OK, I still have the CPO on my 01 4.4i I thought it would be covered...NOPE. OK, so I'm tooling around my shop and decided to see these hoses. I take off the plastic cover plate and look around...AHHH, I see two hoses, toward the rear firewall, about 1.5" dia. and they seem to be collapsing...I'm not sure if this is from the heat or if its the coolant fluid? making the hose soft...anyways I want to replace them and took the numbers down but I can't seem to find anything on X5world or on the web about the hoses... BMW 1705 260 CONTI A0 47/1>ECO Any help or suggestions? I plan on taking some pictures to show the hoses... Thanks in advance - p |

I know for my 3.0 the hoses are around $50 for both. You will be paying $400 for labor.
You can get the part number for your hoses here: http://www.bmw-accessoriesonline.com/ |

You'll also want to check the drain hose from the oil seperator. It's between the firewall and the engine and goes down the passenger side (LHD).
