4.6 rims on a 3.0

I have looked for posts related to this one, but cannot find one. Is it possible to swap out my stock 18" wheels from my '03 3.0, for the Style 87's off a 4.6?

Thanks

Yes, many people here have swapped out their smaller 17" and 18" inch rims for the bigger 19" and 20" Style 132 and 87 tires/rims. All of the replica sites as well say that the 87's will fit any yr X5. You can look on ebay at Wheels and Caps, Lakeshore, AFS, and OE.

Thanks for your help!

Also, will I have to use spacers or hub rings?

nope... i did the same thing you're doing and i didn't have to put any spacers or hub rings. all i did was order the rims and tires, took out the old 17 or 18 and put in the new 20's i bought straight on and it fits well.

good luck! whatever you decide to get, please share some pics!

I was just about to say that...

that's what I did with my X, upgraded to 19" with no additional parts... well worth it, better handling and awsome look

I put the Replica 20's on my 2001 3.0 when I had it...the tires wore really bad though (Conti's)...I think the rougher ride also contributed to ruining the suspension as the 3.0 non-sport suspension isn't made to handle such a stiff ride I feel...could also be the streets of NY/NJ that ruined it as well though lol...
