Did you touch anything?
If not then you may need a new stalk or there is something wrong in the software. Just a few guesses.

or may be washer/spayer motor/pump connections to be adjusted...most probably someone was playing with it, mean was disconnected previously...
1. if you pull - front wipers run - OK 2. if you push - rear wiper run - OK mean no problems with wipers...check the washer pump...working vice-versa... |

I agree with Davud. Just pop the hood Remove the 2 10mm nuts that hold the washer fluid Reserve. Turn the Reserve so you can reach the connections on the pumps mounted to the reserve and switch the connection from pump to pump. Sounds like the stalk is fine since the wipers are wipping at the right time. Let us know if this solves it, Rob
