Alpine CD changer adapter

The BMW radio being an Alpine produced radio, does anyone know if there is an aftermarket CD changer adapter that connects to the CD changer connectors in the trunk of the 2000 4.4 X5 Sport with DSP?

Advance thanks,
Mike

Try Ebay. I believe there is one and check the dealer.

i believe the two that make them are Blitzsafe and Soundgate...check the articles in the stereo section and you should find info on what you need.

I had a Soundgate adapter with the Alpine SCH-A634 cd changer in my 2002 X5, and then moved it to my current 2005 X5. Both X's hav the Nav system, but I'm sure it will work without it... I'm believe there is an article on this in the DIY section of this site. There is also a cable you will need, in addition to the Changer and the Soundgate adapter.

Great thanks, i also have the navi and im glad to hear that it works with it. i will not be installing a CD changer but instead i will be using their new USB MP3 drive that replaces the CD changer. the radio still thinks that a CD changer is attached to it, with this i can transfer music onto the thumb drive just like how i have it installed in my other car.
