Emergency Deactivation Not Counting Down

I have no idea what my code is, but I was making a change with carsoft, the chages were complete, and I shut my X off for the recommended 10 seconds. It turns on and asks for the code. I have tried the emergency deactivation and the time stays at 9:59 with out counting down. I have waited over 10 minutes with no luck. Any suggestions?

I am basically having the same problem as you are. After reconnecting the battery the coutdown timer did not go down, it just stays at 9:59. At first I thought it might have been the batterys, but after a full charge it was still a no go. Did you manage to fix this?

Is there anyway to bybass this code as its gonna be a really difficult to push the X5 to place where I can get a truck to tow it to the dealer?

Cheers, Phoenix.

Insturment Cluster

I had to get a new insturment cluster. $1200 I think, I had an extended warranty though. Were you using and OBDII connection at the time by any chance?

Thanks for the reply robjae.

I wasn't using the OBDII connection. Basically what happened was the people installing my retrofit nav left one of the doors open over night and drained the battery. Prior to them draining the battery everything was working fine (nav, gps etc). I was meant to pick up the car that day >.<. However, when they jump started the car, the enter the code message popped up for the first time and it refuses to countdown. So the first thing I told them to try was to fully recharge the battery. After letting it charge overnight it was still a no go.

What I'm thinking might have happened is they could have fried something when they jump started the car. I'm gonna go back in tommorow and try disconnecting and reconnecting the cluster and some other tricks I've read about on this forum. If that dosnt work then its gonna be a tow to the dealer T_T.

Cheers, Phoenix.
