Big Brake Kit
I'm looking for a big brake kit for my 03 4.6is. Any suggestions? Has anyone run one of these kits on thier X5's? What did you think of it? Was it worth it? Would you do it again? Thanks, T. |

The expense of the Brembo kit seems to be a bit much at $6,000.
I just purchased SP Performance cross drilled rotors and Axxis Ceramic brake pads. I am waiting for NHT to restock their powder coated calipers. I am going to go with the black ones. The rotors cost me $230, the pads $100 and the calipers will cost me around $270. The total will be $600 for the fronts. I will probably to the rears in the fall. My brakes will have the "high performance" look at a fraction of the cost of the Brembos. If you really want the Brembos they do occasionally show up used on Ebay. http://raceshopper.com/sp_rotors.shtml |

More info on the NHT Powdercoated Callipers please. This sounds like a great route to go as I want the look too, but dont need racing brakes on my SUV that is not tracked and my callipers are showing a little rust from being stationary
