Please please HELP! X5 Non-start!
Hi all. New to this forum. looking for your urgent expertise! Have an 2002 X5 3.0 turbo diesel which is a non-start. Brings up fault code p09F6 (rail pressure during cranking) Have checked injectors. No.6 slightly suss but not sure if it is enough to cause low rail pressure?? Have checked rail sensor for normal plug corrosion. All clean and intact. Fuel pump sems to be working fine. Have plenty of fuel at filter housing. If anyone has had similar problems, any info would be greatfully recieved. I need to get this sorted ASAP. Thanks very much everyone!

Have you checked the fuel regulator? This pressurises the fuel rail. I'm not sure where it is as I've never owned a diesel (god that hurt to type that word then!!), but on a petrol fuel rail they are usually situated at the end of the rail... Its the only thing I can think of that could relate to low rail pressure.
