, between moving to my new home and birth of my son i have neglected the X! (blasphemy) ....Now since i only use soap and water to clean off the wheels that has taken most dirt off but there seems to be some stubborn spots on the lips i cannot take off. i would like some advice before i go and use some aftermarket product polish cleaner.........What say you?

PLEASE do NOT take a powerball to it - wheter it be be the normal or mini size.
FWIW, I have the same wheels. I assume your centers are clearcoated and the outer halve is high polished. The mothers tool is great on certain wheels but you cannot finesse the tool without damaging the centers on yours. I've tried alot of metal polishes and my favorite can be found here - www.heavymetalpolish.net The ultrafine is great but since yours is neglacted, I would be inclined to use the green cut and then step it down to the ultrafine ! YMMW, but believe me, I have tried ALOT of polishes, and if you don't like to mailorder,Flitz metal polish would be my 2nd recommendation. |

Clay the rims....Clay the rims with soap and water as a lubricant. The least amount of any cleaning solvent on rims like yours is the way to go...
