Losing some pixels on the display below the gauges

Any idea what might be causing intermittent missing pixels in the digital part that reads mileage and temperature. Sometimes a few lines go out and then comes back here and there while driving or on the next drive.

do a search on instrument cluster bad pixels. what year is your x? if it is under warranty, the warranty will cover it. if it is not under any warranty, contact bmw of north america for goodwill replacement which means free. i just got mine replaced for free. if you need some info. just search it for contact me, i have all contact information with me.
