Windsheild - I'm mad & sad

On the way of work, a rock, pretty big one about size of quarter, flew onto the windsheild and made damage.


I was so mad but nothing I can do about that. So, I went to windsheild repair shop wihich is called Safelite auto glass. They told me that the damage is not deep enough to do anything.

Is there any DIY to fix the small chip?

My X5 is less than 3 weeks old
