Ok so the window regulator in the back window just broke and the window is down. And of course I am at the beach now and not near a dealer. Is there anyway I can pull the window up for the time being? Any ideas greatly appreciated! Ugh!

Idea: carefully pop the lower door panel, you may have to remove a screw or two. You should be able to lift the window from the inside enough to grab it and pull it the rest of the way up. Once up, wedge or tape it in place. Good luck

Thanks! That's an idea! Of course the closest dealer here is an hour away and closed on sat. Just my luck.

So its been a week. And my car has been at the dealer for a total of 3 days...and wow still not fixed. A window reg takes 30mins tops...and yet they still cant fit me in.

Its official. I am done with Arlington. I feel bad about yelling at the receptionist girl then peeling out of the lot last night, but oh well. I am never going back again!

fairfax will get you out in an hour, just watch your pocket. or the easier way is to visit Gary in alexandria at Martin Motorsport, he is more reasonable and an BMW expert, you can have your car towed there next time. fairfax love their customers, mine has been there 4 times and each time they treat me like i am a king. but they also love my wallet too. with gary its different. i had mine serviced at his shop 2 times, each time its about half less than fairfax quoted. good luck next time around.

Called fairfax while waiting for Arlington to pull my car around. They were very nice and I have an appt Friday morning since I need a car to get to work. MUCH better than the "how about 2 months from now" run-around.

To quote another thread on bimmerforums, "Arlington can choke on a railroad spike."

Sorry, I am just sick of this run around. I bet the Kevin the SA doesnt even know I took my car back.

remember when you book with fairfax, ask them for 328 loaner. last time i was there i had the 328xi as a loaner for the day. man that thing is sweet, i played around with the push start button at red lights. i think they have about 4 of them. if you could make it early on friday, it will be available for sure.
