Hello again. I'm intrested in looking into this X. It is in mint condition. I'm attaching the link to the dealership where I found it.

It has 94k on the clock. The carfax is clean, and its only one owner. Highway miles I'm thinkin. What do you guy's think?

Looks good! I would just do the usual things, look at service history and invoices. See if there is any transmission/gearbox history eg, has the transmission had any oil service or possibly been replaced, check the instrument cluster to see if all pixles are working, take it for a test run and see how it drives, does it have any warranty, check the complete spec, when was it last serviced, how many service lights are showing, are the brake discs and pads good and when were they last replced. Just take your time and have a real good look around the vehicle, inside and outside etc. At a glance, I noticed from the pics it has comfort seats, the rear tonnue cover is missing, it looks like it doesnt have folding mirrors and there is a button or 2 less on the front centre console, possible no tire pressure control and something else. But It has rear factory fitted side blinds and also looks like it has heated rear seats!

If it's everything checks out...GO for it!!...I myself am looking to upgrade to a 4.6is or 4.8is too.

BTW, will you be keeping your 4.4 or trading it in?

There asking 23,999 for it. I'm thinking if I can scoop this up for maybe 20k with tax and title maybe 22k out the door? They told me they have no problem letting my personal mechanic take a look at it. They said come and get it. Drive it to him and if everything checks out and I like it, they will make a deal.

Wow great deal for a 4.6is. Miles are a bit high but most likely its highway miles and one owner is a plus too. Looks really clean and well taken care of too!

Don't know what to do. Might trade it in, but I've done all this work on it. Its probably one of the best running X's out there. I've done all maintenance, I've put the powerchip in it, the CAI, New tires, brakes, rotors, valve covers, vally pan, hoses, belts, battery, rear main seal, and some other misc. things. Infinity bass link, and the dice Ipod link from BSW, the one that goes into the ashtray.

What do you guy's think. Should I consider it? What I'm going to do is call the dealer which is the same one I go to. This is where the car has been maintained from day one. Get a print out of what has been done to it. Then take it to my mechanic and verify the work and see if there is anything else he may find. If everything has been done like mine. Minus the extras in it. I might just sell it privately or give it to my wife and I'll just get a 2nd X5. Why not. It will be a mistake if the car is working perfect, to give it up. Comments please?

I hear ya man. How many miles are on your 4.4? If anything, it would be nice to get a second x5 =)

two of the "same" cars seems too much...

and the sound of 95,000 miles doesn't really sound appealing...

unless you want to deal with all the possible headaches...if parts haven't "fallen apart" by now...they'll fall apart when you have the vehicle.

but for $20000, it's a "deal"...if you are willing to invest in this, go ahead

4.4 has 89893 on the clock. And Rabbit is right! I'm going to buy someone else's neglected automobile. Or, someone else's taken care of X, but didn't want it anymore due to the mileage. It's a 50/50 split decision. Its a double edged sword.

Just got off the phone with my SA. He told me that the car just got a new tranny 1 week ago. And he also said that the owner just never topped the oil off. So the car kept coming in for oil service only to be topped off. He said for me to drive it and see if the engine runs tired or if it has power like mine does. He also said that pretty much all maintenance was done on the car. Even spark plugs where done a week ago also. But he didn't really like the idea of the car being 5 qts. low multiple times. And no in between oil changes either. He advised for me to bring it to him to see what he feels. He wanted to drive it and see what he thinks. He really felt leary about this car. He never likes it when people neglect there cars. He remembers the guy also. He said that this guy would never take care of his car and always towed the car in. So basically the guy drove it to the ground and then when it broke he would just tow it in. What a jerk!!! I'll keep everyone posted on this one....
