I'm getting my 20" Staggered Wheels Tommorow!

I finally purchased these wheels and I am picking them up tommorow! I got the toyo proxes s/t package..this took a bit of a longer wait.

From some of the posts on this board I've been hearding that the Toyo Proxes are better than the Michelin for wet/snow traction but this guy from the tire shop keeps saying the Toyo's will fail once it comes to wet/snow traction so I hope I'm buying the right tires....anyways I will get the pictures up tommmorow

i don't know how anyone can put 20's on their x and intend to use it in the snow... i had 19's on my '01 4.4 and it was a friggin sled in snow/slush on Long Island, it was almost undriveable. I drove a Formula Firebird in college at Binghamton NY for 4 years so i'ld say i've got some driving in snow experience, but dayum, my '01 was all over the place with 19's.

Congrads on your purchase. I have the 20's staggered with the toyo package as well. I have since put on maybe 8k miles. I love my purchase and have no regrets. The car feels smoother believe it or not vs. my stock 18's.
As for snow, do not even venture out in the snow with this setup. You will be asking for trouble. This setup works well in rain and sticks like glue in the spring/summer. The toyo tires alone are very nice looking, aggressive thread pattern and grip way better than the michelin and they will last you longer.

My previous car was a FX-35 with the OEM 20's. The FX could easily out handle the X5 with stock 18's. But once I got the 20's on the X5 the cars became very close in handling and I would give the edge to the X5 just because of the staggered setup and the huge 315 which keeps the SUV planted into the turns.

Disadvantage:
Gas mileage will go down
Your X will feel a bit "slothy" heavy at low speeds under 10mph.
