Sport Steering wheel

I have a 2000 540! with the sport package, I like the M wheel which is on the car and would like to know 2000 540 wheel could be retro fitted to a 2001 X 5 3.0? The X5 does not have the sport package but prem. package.

I believe it will work just fine, but you will need a new round airbag ~$600
