Battery Disconnect Question

Okay so I just got my Dice and was really excited to install it until it said I had to disconnect the battery. First I have never looked for the battery but didn't remember seeing it under the hood. Found a post saying it is under the spare tire and another saying it is to the left of the spare tire (mine is a 2005). From one of the pictures I saw if looks like I will have to remove the spare and spare bracket to get to this. Is there an easy way to disconnect the battery or is what I am seeing the reality of it? I haven't had a chance to go out and dig through the back yet.

The battery is onder the spare tire. But once you remove the spare tire you will also have to remove the compressor for the auto leveling your 4.4 has. You can search "battery removal" for further details.

Thanks for the advice but having read the manual isn't helping. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Time to search the forums.
