taillight pics? old vs new (e53)

I can't tell the difference between the old and new tail lights on the e53. I have a 2002 so I have the old ones. I've see newer X's but I seriously can't see the difference. I need to see them side by side.
so i was looking through the "Custom X Pages" to see if I could find pics of the tail lights. but there are so many pages to go through.
who has pics of their tail lights? are they old or new?

thanks!
robert

Yeah see the pics, HUGE difference between 2003 and 2004 tails.

to be honest though, the difference is so slight. i think it's almost unnoticeable. i certainly wouldn't replace working tail lights. too much money for almost no gain. who would notice?

thanks again

It looks subtle until you park a 2004 next to a 2003. My friend had a 2001 and though the tails were the same, we parked the cars together and he was shocked at the difference. Pics don't really do it justice IMO.

Yeah have to agree with Wagner! Pics do NOT do it justice. The facelift lights are more noticable when you see them in the flesh.

Sudesh, do you have any pics of the wires you swapped? Also, tell me how much again for the 04's?

Thanks-
Mark

Pic of my 2005 4.8 tail lights and my 2001 non-sport tail lights. Notice the sparkle in post-facelift tail lights.

Buy the ones on ebay. In my opinion they look the best in person. I was skeptical before I got them but they look better then OEM. AGAIN these pics do not do it justice.
