2 FEET OF WATER!!!!!!!

So we recently had a terrential downpour in the longisland area. On my way to work in Queens and the streets were flooded. I went down a side street to beat the traffic and found myself face to facew with a flooded street. I t did not look like much so I proceeded. Only a few seconds later I found water coming up to the hood of the truck, at that point I knew i was in trouble. I looked to the right and all I saw was the top spindle of a fire hydrant and the rest was under water. as I went through the deepest section I noticed my truick bog down. I gave it a little gas and made it through. My angel eye blew out because it retained some water and I lost my euro plate because it was ripped off the car during the drive through the puddle.. Happy though because I didn't stall and no water came into the cabin.

I would check all of your fluids immediately, especially your final drive units and transfer case. Those are not sealed to keep water out. Running with water in a drive unit or tcase is mega bad and can lead to quick failure.

I would also have someone relube all your suspension that has greasable fittings as well, and make sure your ujoint boots do not have water in them.

I would be underneath looking for the tranny control box & wiring. There was a post earlier this year from somebody who did the same thing and lost the tranny, control box and wiring.
Really helped pay for the dealers trip to Hawaii.

Definitely, especially on Snake Rd. in Springfield Gardens. If I only had seen the hydrant before I made the big leap, I would still have my euro license plate....
