It's only fun when it's not your car. I did off-roading minus the wet stuff in the X3 (posted in X3 forum) and while it is very entertaining, the #1 concern was the suspension over the massive crevices, tree roots, and rocks. The last thing I needed was to break some suspension part and explaining "Oh, me and a friend went out to Western MD to do some mountain biking and off-roading in a $40k BMW. Busted the rear right strut though. Can you pay for the fix?"
