Warning lights and loss of power

[SIZE=2]I have a 01 3.0 and the "Check Engine Light" is on an every now and then (Randomly) the BRAKE,ABS & DSC lights come on. Usually everything works fine, but 40% of the time when those light come on there is a substantial loss of pick up power. Put it this way, getting on the freeway is sketchy.
I can pull over and turn the X5 on and off a few times and the BRAKE,ABS & DSC lights off and the power is back....
Has anyone experienced this problem. I am looking for any advice, before I bring it to the dealer.

Those lights normally come on after you switched off your battery ,but then they go off after a few yards!
Check to see if you battery cables are not loose!Also,disconnect your battery for 30 mins and connect it.
