How To Change Spark Plugs

Hey, I needed someone to tell me how to change my spark plugs on the x5 4.6is, i removed the plustic engine cover but it looks very comlicated i could not get to the spark plugs. can anyone explain to me how to do it, because i dont trust my mechanic, he lies to much, he will probobly say he did change it, but acctually he never did, Thats why i wanted to do it my self. thank u
